Creating strategies
& supporting change
I love it when a plan comes together
“Louise has helped lead the successful development of our school into a 16+ model, aligning our educational offerings with the evolving needs of our students.
Additionally, Louise played a key role in facilitating our charitable merger, demonstrating her proficiency in navigating complex organisational challenges and ensuring a seamless transition for all stakeholders involved.
Her contributions have been instrumental in reshaping our institution’s trajectory, and her impact will undoubtedly be felt for years to come.”
It’s the only true way to know what you are doing and to be able to assess if you are doing it well. But I’ve worked in schools and know that sometimes planning goes out the window because life is just too busy. Reacting and just ploughing on with things is sometimes a necessity.
So, I can help you to step back, take a breath and work out where you need to be going; either by:
working with you to develop a long term marketing strategy to help you reach your strategic goals (based on your admissions needs, financial requirements, brand values, or positioning aspirations)
helping you to write a useful marketing action plan to guide your daily/weekly/termly marketing activities
providing long term support to ‘check in’ that you’re on track with your strategy or action plans - because a plan is only good when it’s in action
“Louise has been immensely helpful to our School. She has worked with us on developing our marketing strategy, but also Strategic Development projects. I value her advice and input in delivering positive communications to stakeholders at all levels, including how to promote good word of mouth and develop a media strategy, including social media.”
& I understand the challenges of change
Change can be good. But only when it’s done in a really considered and consistent way.
There’s a lot of change happening in the sector at the moment. For the last decade I’ve been supporting schools to navigate these changes. And how to communicate them. Because changes work, or don’t, based on how they are communicated to staff, parents, alumni and the community. There will always be hesitancy about change, but when you’ve thought it through from every angle, you can head off concerns and get people on side. Trust me. I’ve done this a fair few times now:
supporting schools on moving into a group - how to find, choose and move into a group (commercial and charity) successfully
helping schools to change their structure - adapting their age range (from 13 to 11 or 16) adding Nurseries, moving their boarding offer, changing to co-ed, re-arranging their site
working with schools to change their curriculum offering (introducing new curriculum or extra curricular programmes, adapting their IB offering etc)
“Louise was particularly helpful in bringing the team together and motivating the Senior Management Team, staff at various levels, and particularly the Board of Governors. The results of her guidance were visible around the School very soon after her Marketing Plan was approved and put into action. Louise is a true professional. She can be fully trusted with confidential information and the advice and direction she gave showed the depth of her understanding of the Schools industry.”
